Please join us, Saturday, June 9th, 2012, at the Affirmations Community Center, located at: 290 West Nine Mile Rd.,Ferndale Mi. 48220: http://www.goaffirmations.org
Crossroads will be hosting their annual picnic outing in the Affirmations building on the second floor outside sundeck. (Room 202 for inclement weather) Enjoy a relaxing evening overlooking the beautiful downtown Ferndale streets below. Sip a drink, eat a hotdog, brat or other picnic fare, and enjoy some stimulating conversation, all while watching the hustle and bustle on the streets below. The dress for this event will be feminine casual attire, including that darling spring or summer sundress you've been anxiously waiting to wear. The picnic gathering starts at 6:00 PM and runs to about 8:45PM.
But wait, the evening is not done just yet! Let's take advantage of the beautiful June weather, long days, and very friendly (and well protected) streets of Ferndale. We are planning a "stroll" down 9 Mile Rd. to the Como's Restaurant. Como's is a very friendly "T" girl venue, located only a block away from Affirmations (east side of Woodward on 9 Mile Rd.). Seating will be on the outside patio, around the large umbrella tables. Enjoy good company along with cocktails, great food or almost anything else you may want.
For girls that aren't as confident as others being out in public en-femme, this is a great opportunity. Ferndale, the Ferndale police and Como's Restaurant are all very very LGBT friendly, especially to us "T" girls.
Please make sure to bring 6 or more quarters for the parking meters located in the public parking lot behind Affirmations. Also, there is a gathering cost of $5 for members and $10 for non-members to cover food and rent costs. Girls, this is a great time to become a Crossroads member. Membership run from April 1st to March 31st. To join in the month of June, it will only cost you $22! This will save you 50% off gathering fee's and huge discounts on all other CRC sponsored events throughout the year. Some events will be free, but to attend those you must be a Crossroads member.
Please note: There will be NO Crossroads gatherings at Affirmations scheduled for July or August, 2012. There are however, LGBT events that Crossroads will be part of that are being considered throughout the summer months. Check the CRC web page for details.http://www.crossroadsmi.com

Crossroads: "T" Girls United!
PS: I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you a little about our future plans and last month's "May Gathering and After Glow Party". The "members only" FREE After Glow Party took place at a two bedroom penthouse suite at a Residence Inn, located not far from Affirmations. Girls, we had blast! We had a very good turn out with plenty of food, champagne, wine and hors d'oeuvre for everyone! It seemed as though everyone took advantage of the very spacious suite.
- Some girls were in the living room watching the large flat screen TV;
- others partying in the dinning room area having fun; and
- the rest were in the kitchen area (which seemed to be the hub of activity throughout the evening).
All in all a great way to enjoy being en-femme, relaxing, and having fun with friends that care! CRC (CrossRoads Chapter) is planning another "After Glow Party" late this fall.
Other activities CRC is considering attending as a group:
- Some girls were in the living room watching the large flat screen TV;
- others partying in the dinning room area having fun; and
- the rest were in the kitchen area (which seemed to be the hub of activity throughout the evening).
